STSM Grant for a Research Visit at MaLGa in Genova

I received a Short Term Scientific Mission (STSM) grant from the COST Action CA24136 - InterCoML, which funded a research visit at the Machine Learning Genoa Center (MaLGa) in Genova from 31.08. to 11.09. My hosts were Silvia Villa and Cesare Molinari, whom I thank for their hospitality. You can find the announcement here.

During the visit we explored basin hopping techniques for consensus-based optimization, which combine local solvers with a global component, and extended these methods beyond standard geometries in order to train sparse neural networks.
